Fruits and vegetables constitute an essential part of diets for millions of households around the world, but more so in developing countries. Poor households can producevegetables in small gardens around the homestead from where they can be watered using household waste waters. Many fruit trees occupy little space and are compatible with other crops, thus can be grown in an agroforestry set up. Other fruit plants grow as climbing plants supported by other trees within the farm. This page will provide links to information resources on production and utilisation of vegetables and fruit crops in developing countries. Contributions are welcome.
