Background info
Livestock are reared for different types of products. Some of the products, e.g. milk are produced and can be obtained from the animal on a regular (daily) basis, while others, e.g. meat or skin, can only be obtained after the animal has been killed. Whether a livestock product is obtained daily or after its lifetime, an elaborate and well informed marketing effort is necessary so as to turn the product into profit. This page will provide information resources that will contribute to maximising the proftability of livestock based enterprises in Africa and other developing countries. You are welcome to contribute any relevant materials. Contact info@elewa.org or sarah@elewa.org.
